Brominated Isobutylene-isoprene Rubber (BIIR) is an isobutylene-isoprene copolymer elastomer containing active bromine. As BIIR possesses nearly saturated main chains typical of butyl rubbers, it has most of the properties of butyl polymers such as high physical strength, good vibration reducing performance, low permeability, excellent aging and weather resistance.
